- Gay in the Bay new Zealand
- Gay in the Bay is a social group for all fabulous queer folk either living in or visiting Northland. ( Paihia, Kerikeri, Whangarei, BOI, Bay of Islands, Kaitaia, Kaeo, Kaikohe, Kawakawa, Russell, New Zealand, NZ) We meet on a monthly basis and enjoy a large range of different activities. From drinks on the Sugar Boat to lying in the muddy waters of Ngawha Springs the aim of the game is fun! This group was formed in the hope of creating a sense of unity amongst our very special gay people living in the Bay of Islands. For any community to bond and grow we feel it is essential to meet on a regular basis. This will create friendship, allow exchange of ideas and most of all induce some wild times together! WomenFishOn organizes free fishing trips (ie trout, bass, shad), party boat charter trips ( 35+ for squid, cod, bluefish, tuna, shark), outdoor potlucks, etc. All skill levels welcomed. We will TEACH you, for free, how to fish using equipment. Fly-fishers are welcomed but we cannot teach you fly-fishing.

Organizers of the group have planned a membership and promotional drive over the next few weeks, and have announced the first event, which will celebrate the Asian community's Mid-Autumn Festival. Asians & Friends - Vancouver will introduce itself by hosting a Moon Night Romance - Red Lantern Potluck on Saturday evening, September 25th at a location to be announced soon.
