- AIDS Action, founded in 1984, is the national AIDS organization dedicated to the development, analysis, cultivation, and encouragement of sound policies and programs in response to the HIV epidemic. We do this through the dissemination of information and the building and use of advocacy on behalf of all those infected with/affected by HIV/AIDS.

- We are a tribe with a great purpose in the world. Queerwitness focuses on queer spirituality, oral history, politics, storytelling and HIV/AIDS, with history being from a first-person perspective, including being present at the Stonewall Riots and subsequent involvement with the Gay Liberation Front followed by the politics of spirituality and the creative arts. It is also the story of one man's spiritual and physical struggles with illness and death from AIDS and a return to new life.

SEAMEC evaluates candidates on their knowledge of, record of proven activism for, and commitment to the concerns of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) communities. SEAMEC publishes its ratings in advance of the primary and general elections, so voters can make an informed choice.
