- CBC Archives the strugle from 1959 to 1981. It was a time of protests, legal fights and backlash. With a growing sense of solidarity, gays and lesbians became more visible in Canadian society in the 1960s, '70s and early '80s. Public attitudes about homosexuality gradually improved as more Canadians came out of the closet to demand acceptance and equality under the law.

of a gay Grandfather.
The journal describes what it was like to grow up in the 30s and 40's, knowing you were
different from your peers, but having no-one to turn to. It also passes through a 14 year
career in the Canadian Army; A 22 year straight marriage; The raising of 4 children and
earning the love and respect of 8 grandchildren; Coming out to my family; And how all these
events lead up to my current 20 year relationship with Ron, the best partner, lover and friend
you would ever want to spend your life with.
This story includes many photographs as well as a section devoted to my favourite sayings
and antidotes on gay life and the many travels and vacations taken with Ron.

- The aims of the Quebec Gay Archives (Archives Gaies du Québec) are to acquire, conserve and maintain all types of documents, including manuscripts, printed materials, visual, audio and others which relate to the history of the lesbian and gay community in Quebec. Includes an Alan Stone Physique Photo Exhibition.
