Celebrating its 10th year, PEN is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that is for gay, lesbian and advocate professionals in a wide variety of fields. The membership includes over 300 men and women from throughout the metropolitan area. More than 1,200 people attend events throughout the year. PEN members work for business, nonprofit, and government organizations. Many areindependent business owners in the fields of financial planning, management consulting, travel agencies, communication services, educational administration, and nonprofit management.

GLBTA Resource Center at American University
The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Ally Resource Center (GLBTA Resource Center) is a University office which works to heighten awareness of issues dealing with sexual orientation. The Center is staffed by undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and members of the University administration. The staff provides academic advice, peer support, referrals, and resource information on sexual minority issues. Acknowledging and supporting the diversity in the University community, the GLBTA Resource Center is a safe space that all members of the University community are welcome to visit to explore the many aspects of human sexuality in an open, non-prejudicial atmosphere. We encourage you to stop by the GLBTA Resource Center during office hours (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday). The GLBTA Resource Center is available other times by appointment.
